About TechSteady

TechSteady is the senior IT oversight service of Bentlebury Limited, a UK data and technology assurance company registered in England and Wales (company number 13706629). These terms apply to all services delivered through TechSteady.

What our services provide

TechSteady provides senior IT oversight for PE portfolio companies and owner-managed businesses. Our services are designed to give boards, investors and business owners independent oversight and strategic direction over the technology that supports their organisations.

What our services do not provide

Our services do not constitute:

• Legal advice or legal opinions
• Audit certification or compliance certification
• Penetration testing, vulnerability scanning or technical security assessment
• Insurance advice or financial advice
• IT delivery, implementation or remediation services

Where our work identifies issues that require specialist legal, regulatory or technical input, we will recommend that you seek appropriate independent advice.

Independence

Bentlebury maintains structural independence from IT delivery and remediation. We do not carry out remediation activity. This separation is fundamental to the integrity of our oversight work.

Reports and assessments

Where our services include governance reports or assessments, these represent a point-in-time view based on the information available at the time of assessment. They do not:

• Guarantee the ongoing security or compliance of any environment
• Certify that the organisation meets any specific regulatory standard
• Replace the need for ongoing monitoring, patching or operational management

Data handling

Where our services require access to client systems, we use read-only access and do not make configuration changes. Client data is not shared with third parties, used for marketing or retained beyond the period required to deliver and support the engagement. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

All methodologies, frameworks and tools used in delivering our services are proprietary to Bentlebury Limited. Reports and deliverables may be shared internally with boards, investors and regulators but may not be published, distributed commercially or used for marketing purposes without written consent from Bentlebury Limited.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bentlebury Limited's liability in connection with any service is limited to the fees paid for that service. Bentlebury Limited does not accept liability for decisions made on the basis of our reports, nor for any indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
